This entry is part 19 of 19 in the series Whom do your elected officials represent???

As 1st #Rounduptrial continues V. @MonsantoCo over cancer claims, the powerpoints presented by each side lay out the arc of the case.

Here are the cases laid out by each party:

This is Monsanto’s

This is plaintiff’s

Food Labeling has been a hot topic for about 20 some odd years now. With 90% of the people wanting a proper food labeling bill why don’t we have one???

IMHO Pecuniary Greed exhibited by our Elected Officials. Let us not forget the Great QR Code debacle given to us by Debbie “Let me stab my constituents in the back” Stabinthemnow. This was hailed as a great victory for Food Labeling, only problem was the victory was for the chemical companies heavily invested in GMO texnology, noit the comsumer. Not the 90% of us that want proper food labeling.

US Senator Debbie Stabenow

This past week my counterpart Nick Seit of Know Ideas Media published a production in regards to food labeling. More specifically Nick and have been questioning the validity of the Butterfly…Non GMOProject.

As I prepare for an interview this afternoon with CMO Metrics on GMO and some of ther many issues surrounding the subject of this technology that has been stuffed down our throats via Pecuniary Greed I can’t help wonder if the Food Labeling issue happens in Australia also…yes I’ll ask.

This past week I caught up to another counterpart, Thomas Baldwin. While Thomas and I disagree on some issues one things that Thomas and I can safely say Nick and myself all agree on is we really do need a proper Food Labeling…bill…law…something, I mean anything that will provide proper information we need to make educated decisisons about our diets.

I communicated with Thomas this past week on the Labeling issue and he sent me his letter to his Elected Official in Idaho…I reprint and share with you with permission…

Plant breeders today use advanced molecular biology to breed new cultivars that are useful to both farmers and
consumers. Their breeding research relies on high tech equipment, laboratories, genetic tests, genomic
sequencing, transcriptomics, proteomics, double haploids, mutagenesis, protoplast fusion, and molecular
markers to breed the modern variates we all grow and consume. As a result, dramatic changes have occured in
the genomes of crops over time. However, there is no argument that these products should receive the BE label.
The general consumer would also assume that these changes are “ natural” and therefore less likely to cause
harm. This presents a possible false correlation with misunderstandings about bioengineering (e.g. that
bioengineering is catorizable as a health and environmental concern) that separate perceived risk from real risk.
As human beings, we tend to focus and blame things that are perceived to be dangerous. We do not, by nature,
do a sufficient job of relying on data to determine risk. Additionally, consumer sentiment about bioengineering
is changing with the development of new bioengineering methods. Consumers need complex information to be
conveyed efficiently. To successfully meet consumer needs, the selection of a BE label has to be made very
carefully to represent the technology correctly. The original symbols are simple “cookie cutter” designs that are
confusing to consumers because they look like a dozen other food label symbols and are not symbolic of the
actual bioengineering technology.
This is my suggestion (below) for the BE “Bioengineered” label in order to communicate to the public the use of
bioengineering processes in modern breeding. An accompanying website is necessary to better help consumers
understand bioengineering. The focus of this label should be on consumer education and on cost efficiency to
ensure consumers know they are receiving safe food without paying high food prices for that knowledge.
“Bioengineered to BE safe and sustainable”

-The DNA centric BE label. The interweaving strands represent two complementary strands of DNA. The color
patterns on the strands are blue, yellow, green, and red for the four common DNA base pairs. The letters A, T, G
are centered in the first three loops of the helix and are the first discovered start codon for protein translation. The
two sets of two overlapping ten-point stars represents the geometric pattern of DNA (top view). The letters B and E
layered in the stars. Two black lines intersect at the center met with a right angle. Each line crosses the DNA double
helix and the helix remains open to represent engineering.

LINK TO THE LETTER

I’d like to this opportunity to address those that for whatever reason feel that folks that disagree hate each other…POPPYCOCK. We just disagree, I do not dislike Nick nor do I dislike Thomas. ASs a matter of fact I routinely refer to Thomas for information for my productions…IMHO they are both an asset. So please stop with the “Why do you hate them” emails and messages, we don’t hate each other we just disagree on some issues now and then…

Thank you Thomas for the permission and go check Nick’s production out it’s actually veryt good and SPOT on in regards to Labeling. As for me I still say the market place is going to dictate what dirrection Food Labeling goes.

Remember to tune in tomorrow for GMO Tuesday for an update on the Monsanto Trial and other GMONews, hopefully I will have a link to today’s interview with Sheena Alexandra. If you like what you hear/read give us a thumbs up subscribe to the stations and if you can help keep the lights on…donation tab is to the right.

In closing I encourage everyone to contact your elected officials and provide them with your thoughts on proper Food Labeling. Also you can join my Twitter campaign where every day I ask…

plz ask ur followers & join me everyday asking @POTUS @FLOTUS @realDonaldTrump @EPAScottPruitt @US_FDA @SecretarySonny PLZ get the poison out of our food… Now that Mr Pruitt is gone I must change that….ha e a great day folks as always

Until Next Time
